40 DAYS OF PRAYER: SOUTHTOWN
Every fruitful mission through the gospel begins with prayer. During our Malachi: Living for the Future series, we have set aside forty days to pray boldly that God would move powerfully through our efforts on the mission He has given us to make disciples and plant churches.
As a church, we long to see city-wide transformation spiritually, socially, and culturally through the gospel of Jesus. We are confident of this: God always has a bigger vision and more exciting future than we can ever imagine (Eph. 3:20). Therefore, we have been praying corporately and individually to be united on the mission God has for us.
This time last year we were specifically praying for an opportunity to start an evening service to provide those who would never attend church on Sunday morning an opportunity to meet and know Jesus. Over the past year we have perceived God opening the door for us to provide an evening service in Southtown.
Southtown is the arts district of San Antonio, and is one of the least churched areas in our entire city. It is also the location of our largest and fastest growing community group. We’ve waited on God’s direction and we believe He is asking us to step out in faith and work diligently this next year to see a gospel-centered church presence in Southtown. Our hope is that hundreds of people would come to meet Jesus and become disciples over this next year in Southtown.

Send laborers to join in what God is doing through The Well in Southtown.
Provide the resources needed to serve the Southtown community.
Provide the resources needed to launch an evening service.
Provide a space for us to meet.
Save hundreds of people who live in Southtown in 2019.
