PEOPLE OF PRAYER

“… in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” — Philippians 4:6

Charles H. Spurgeon is known as one of the greatest preachers in history. In his time, his church experienced a type of reformation and revival that we seek in ours. When people asked Spurgeon about the secret to his success, he would often say, “Because my people pray for me.”

May we be a people marked by prayer—in everything we do, let us pray. Our hope is that the fruit God produces in our church will clearly reflect a congregation committed to prayer.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, may we find joy each day in simply communing with the God of the universe. Help us delight in you above all else as we plead for reformation and revival in our time. Make us to be a church marked by prayer.

Amen.
