PRAY FOR the salvation of all people

“This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time.” —1 Timothy 2:3–6

When it comes to prayer, we want to let the Bible form and guide our prayers. We want our desires to be God’s desires. We want people to meet, know, love, trust, obey, and worship Jesus! God desires that all people come to this saving faith. Jesus is the one who has mediated this opportunity through giving himself as a ransom for us. May we reflect on this great news today and respond with praise and adoration that we’ve received this news. Then, may we pray that for the Holy Spirits empowerment to take this news to more people.

For the Christian today; remember God wanted you, he desired you to be in his family and paid for you to be in his family, with his life — reflect on this love.

For the non-Christian today; if you are reading this, has revealed his desire for you. He wants a relationship with you. Jesus has made preparation for you by dying for you and paying for your release — receive his love today!

Prayer

Father, thank you for your love and grace and that calls all people to yourself through Jesus. As you have ransomed us and drawn us near to you. May your Spirit transform our hearts and give us the same desire for the salvation of all people. May we reflect and receive your wondrous love for us today. For those who walk with you, may they be strengthened. For those far off, may they be brought near. Grant salvation to many and you bring about a revival in our city.

Amen.
