PRAY FOR our new year of ministry

“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.”
— 2 Timothy 3:16

Tomorrow begins a new year, which means another year of ministry for us as a church! Next year we want to keep the main thing, the main thing — our main thing is Bible teaching about Jesus. We will finish up Nehemiah by Easter, have a few strategic, semi-topical series, and then preach 1 John in the fall. As we close out the year, let's pray for our next year of ministry and Bible teaching.

The Bible is God’s Word breathed out by God himself and is profitable for teaching, reproof, correction, and training in righteousness. Pray that as we preach the Bible each week that it would be anointed by the Holy Spirit's power. Pray that lives would be changed. Pray that the Holy Spirit burdens our heart with the truth of God’s Word so that we might become complete and equipped for every good work.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, as we enter a new year of ministry, we thank you for the gift of your Word. We pray that as we teach the Bible, the Holy Spirit will anoint our words with power, transforming lives. May your Word, breathed out by You, shape us through teaching, reproof, correction, and training in righteousness. Burden our hearts with truth, equipping us for every good work, so that we might faithfully proclaim the gospel and grow in Christlikeness.
