pray for god’s blessing in 2025

“You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God. For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God. By their approval of this service, they will glorify God because of your submission that comes from your confession of the gospel of Christ, and the generosity of your contribution for them and for all others, while they long for you and pray for you, because of the surpassing grace of God upon you. Thanks be to God for his inexpressible gift!” — 2 Corinthians 9:11–15

Tonight begins the last 24 hours of our church-wide fast. Let us take time over the next 24 hours to reflect on what God has done in and through you over the past 5 days. Think also upon God’s abundant provision, and remind yourself of the great opportunities he has given us to spread the gospel this year. Every resource, every open door, is a testament to God’s grace. And, the mission is far from over. There are countless souls still waiting to hear the good news.

God’s blessing doesn’t stop at our needs; he equips his church to fulfill his mission. May we seek his kingdom first, revel in his glory, and trust him fully, whether in seasons of waiting or abundance. Together, let’s embrace God’s call and contend for the future he has for us in our city!

  • Reflect on what God has done in your life over the past 5 days.

  • Thank God for his abundant blessing in your life.

  • Ask for God’s presence and power for you and our church in 2025.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, as we conclude our church-wide fast, we reflect with gratitude on all you have done in and through us these past five days. Thank you for your abundant provision and the open doors you’ve given us to share the gospel this year. Equip us to continue your mission and reach those still waiting to hear the good news. May we trust you fully and seek your kingdom first, boldly contending for the future you have planned for our city.

Amen.

This is the final day of the Contending for the Future through Prayer & Fasting campaign. We would like to extend a big thank you to everyone who followed along and participated in praying and fasting with us. We have been praying for God to do big things this year, and he has already begun to answer those prayers. We can’t wait to see what 2025 will hold.
