This past Sunday we began our annual end-of-year Christmas Giving Campaign. During this year’s initiative, our prayer is that God would provide $60,000 over and above our regular tithes and offerings to help us take the needed steps toward accomplishing the vision God has given us for 2026.
Over the past year, we have seen significant growth in our congregation through people meeting Jesus, couples getting married, families having babies, new gospel partnerships, and increasing online reach. As Jesus continues to open doors for effective ministry, we trust that he will graciously provide the means to walk through them.
THE FAITHFULNESS OF GOD
It wasn’t long ago, however, that we found ourselves in a very different and difficult place. Two to three years ago, we didn’t know if we would even be able to make payroll. Things were tight—tighter than we liked to admit. Yet I watched our church be faithful with the little we had. We stayed on mission, and God kept us in budget.
At the same time, the Lord began putting a desire in our hearts to find a permanent location. This seemed far out of reach since we were just scraping by. But when the opportunity came, we started setting aside a few dollars here and there, hoping that one day we would be able to purchase a building. We budgeted with care, and God provided and sustained us.
GOD PREPARING HIS PEOPLE
Then last year, we sensed the Lord preparing us for a big move. Something was stirring. So with confidence—not in ourselves, but in God—we brought our prayers boldly before him. As we pursued a building, we quickly realized we needed at least $600,000 more than we had in order to make the mortgage affordable.
So we asked you, our church, to pray and to give sacrificially. As a congregation, we committed to giving 10% of our $600,000 goal and trusted the Lord to provide the rest from outside our church.
And what happened?
God abundantly provided through his people as we gave over $60,000 last year, above and beyond our goal.
Then came the waiting. This waiting has lasted all year long.
And last month, by God’s grace, we reached the full $600,000—something that would have sounded impossible just a couple of years ago.
But here’s the twist: God still hasn’t opened the door to a specific building.
So, what does that mean for us now?
It means we keep asking confidently, “God, what’s next?” It means we stay open-handed. We are not after just any solution or quick fix. We want God’s will, God’s timing, God’s building, and God’s plan.
It is abundantly clear that God is providing and preparing us for a permanent space. So we keep moving forward in faith.
Here’s what I’m asking from you:
1. Pray
Ask the Lord to move us, guide us, and provide for us.
2. Prepare
Prepare your heart and mind to give and to go where the Lord is calling us next.
3. Participate
We are looking for 100% participation. Ask the Lord how he wants you to give, and give joyfully. What matters most is that every single one of us participates in what God is doing.
If we have 100% participation and don’t reach our goal, I will still be encouraged—because it means our whole church is united in faith in Jesus and his mission.
OUR 2025 CHRISTMAS GIVING CAMPAIGN
If you are in regular attendance at The Well, you know we have officially outgrown our current location. Our worship space is at capacity, our kids ministry has spilled into every usable corner, our parking lots are full, and our ability to welcome new people is being stretched every week. This is a great problem to have, but we are now at the point where we have to make a move this year.
At the same time, our kids ministry is ready to take its next step. We are at the place where adding a student ministry is no longer optional but necessary. The need is real, immediate, and already here.
So as we wait for the Lord to provide a new place for us, we recognize that whatever building God places in front of us will almost certainly require renovations and buildout—both to accommodate current growth and to prepare space for a full student ministry.
Renovations, updates, and ministry expansion are not signs of uncertainty; they are signs that God is preparing us for a future larger than our present. We are simply aligning our plans, our giving, and our preparation with what we believe God is getting ready to do.
This year-end giving will go to:
FIRST: Expected renovations on whatever building the Lord provides.
SECOND: Beginning to set aside funds to build out a future student ministry.
The elders and I will continue raising funds outside the church to make these possible, but our end-of-year goal of $60,000 will set us in the right direction.
Will you help us reach our year end goal?
