We’re Reopening!
New Location. New time. Same church family.
It’s official. After what will be 210 days since our last Sunday morning gathering, The Well Community Church is excited to announce that we are regathering in person for Sunday services. When we first made the decision to temporarily cancel Sunday services back in March, we thought it would only be a few weeks before we could meet again. We prayerfully made that difficult decision out of an abundance of care for the health and safety of our church family, and with that same level of care, we feel confident that God has opened the door to the best way forward for us to safely regather face to face (wearing masks).

Reopening FAQ
Why NEBC and why Sunday evenings?
Northeast Baptist Church has graciously allowed us to use their facilities to gather after the conclusion of their Sunday services. We are grateful to meet at NEBC because their auditorium size is large enough for us to gather while maintaining social distancing practices and our other options would not allow our church to gather together all at once. This is our best option in order to prioritize the wellbeing of our church family.
Will there be social distancing? Are we following government safety practices?
As a church body, we will be adhering to and following all the guidelines that our governing authorities are recommending and requiring for church gatherings. In consideration of state guidelines, we are asking that you would help us by sitting in every other row so as to maintain appropriate social distancing. Out of an abundance of care for you all, to honor governing authorities as well as our hosts Northeast Baptist Church, we will be requiring masks. You are welcome to bring your own, but we will also be providing masks and sanitizers at our Connect Table. We will be making a collective effort among all serving areas including greeters and ushers to provide sanitizer, masks, and the ability to social distance.
Will there be childcare?
As we reopen, we are inviting families to bring their children in and join the Sunday worship service. For the time being, we will not have our children's ministry open but want to encourage families to utilize the space that we have available in the lobby if they need to exit during the service. We are considering how to move forward with our children's ministry in a way that would be wise and safe for our families. Additionally, changing tables are available in both the men’s and women’s restrooms.
Can I sit with my family and friends?
In order to best follow the government guidelines as well as honor the requests of our hosts at NEBC, we must insist that you only sit directly next to those whom you arrive with. We encourage families to sit together and then allow roughly six feet of space between individual parties. We will have our ushers prepared to seat each party that arrives in order to minimize any confusion about seating. If you are inviting a friend or someone new to church, please try to arrive at roughly the same time so you can enter the auditorium together and be seated by our ushers at the same time.
What else should I know?
We are excited to announce that we have a plan in place to safely engage in communion collectively as a regular part of our weekly service, but we will not be providing coffee at this time. Additionally, if you or anyone in your family has a consistent cough, has a fever, or have any other symptoms that indicate you may be ill, we ask that you would stay home and listen to the sermon via the podcast app or at our website: thewellsa.org/sermons.
We love you, church family, and we’re excited to see you on October 4th!
“But since we were torn away from you, brothers, for a short time, in person not in heart, we endeavored the more eagerly and with great desire to see you face to face.”
