40 DAYS OF PRAYER: UTSA
As a church we’ve been counting down the new year by spending the last fourty days of 2018 in prayer. Today we want to invite you to join us in prayer for the campus of UTSA.
UTSA is one of the largest and fastest growing universities in our state, and by some estimates, even the nation. UTSA is growing at a rate that is hard to keep up with and is projected to have a total of 45,000 students enrolled over the next 10 years. It is estimated that about 3% of the campus are Bible believing Christians, and with the attendance continuing to climb more workers must be sent into the harvest.
We already work closely with campus ministries BSM and CRU. Our hope is to be able to help support gospel ministry on the ground by sending laborers and resources into the harvest of UTSA.
As the semester ends many of the students & professors are preparing for finals and many students are tired and stressed.
Philippians 4:4-7
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. 5 Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; 6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Join us in boldly praying that…
Students who are anxious would trust in God.
Students, professors, and Christian leaders would let their requests be known to God.
Students would experience the peace, power, and presence of the Holy Spirit.
Thousands of students would come to know and love Jesus in 2019.
More gospel laborers & resources would be sent into the harvest of UTSA.
